My Story

A voice can do more than tell a story. It can make you feel it.
Jenn Leigh Pengelly is a professional voice talent, audiobook narrator, audio producer, and classically trained vocalist with more than 20 years of performance experience. Whether bringing a character to life, narrating a powerful story, or connecting with an audience through the spoken word, Jenn brings warmth, authenticity, humor, and emotional depth to every performance.
Her professional voice work includes audiobook narration and character performance, with some of her most meaningful and successful projects produced for Elk Lake Publishing, a Christian publisher. Jenn especially loves bringing stories of faith, hope, perseverance, and transformation to life and believes that the right voice can help a listener not just hear a story, but experience it.
Jenn's foundation in performance began with classical vocal training. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from California Lutheran University and continued her studies at the University of Washington School of Music. Her performance training has also taken her internationally through the American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS) and the Gratz Opera in Austria, where she performed in Salzburg and Vienna. Her favorite roles include Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro and Baby Doe in The Ballad of Baby Doe.
Beyond performing, Jenn is an experienced audio editor and producer, giving her an understanding of the entire production process—from the first take through the finished recording. She brings a meticulous ear, a strong sense of storytelling, and a genuine love of the craft to every project.
But perhaps the greatest influence on Jenn's voice isn't found on a stage or in a recording studio. It comes from life itself.
Her own journey has taught her about perseverance, unexpected blessings, heartbreak, hope, and the importance of finding joy even in difficult seasons. Those experiences have deepened her faith and shaped the way she connects with people and stories. Jenn hopes her work encourages others, makes them laugh, moves them, and reminds them that there is always a reason to keep going.
When Jenn isn't behind a microphone, you'll usually find her cheering on her boys, volunteering with the NICU, reading a good book, or surrounded by her dogs.
She believes every story deserves a voice—and she's passionate about finding the one that helps yours come alive.

Faith and Storytelling
Faith has been woven through every chapter of my life, and it has shaped not only who I am, but how I tell stories.
I believe stories have the power to meet us exactly where we are—to make us laugh, remind us that we aren't alone, give us courage when life feels overwhelming, and sometimes help us see God's presence in places we never expected to find it.
Some of the work I have been most grateful for has been bringing Christian stories and messages to life through audiobook narration. Working with authors and publishers like Elk Lake Publishing has allowed me to combine two things I love deeply: performing and sharing stories that point toward hope, faith, and the possibility of something greater.
My own life has given me plenty of reasons to understand the importance of hope. Through unexpected challenges, incredible blessings, and seasons that tested my faith, I have learned that sometimes the most meaningful stories aren't the ones where everything goes according to plan. They are the ones where we discover strength we didn't know we had, grace we didn't expect, and reasons to keep moving forward.
That perspective is something I bring with me to every microphone.
Whether I'm narrating a book, becoming a character, producing a recording, or connecting with an audience, my hope is that my voice does more than simply tell a story. I hope it leaves people encouraged, inspired, and a little more connected to the possibility of hope.
Because I believe a voice can entertain.
A voice can move you.
And sometimes, a voice can remind you that you're not walking through this life alone.
